Keväällä 2005 lähti Keskuskoulu mukaan kansainväliseen Comenius-projetiin. Kolmevuotisen projektin koordinaattorina toimii Keskuskoulun luokanopettaja Juha Koskinen.

Kolmivuotisen projektin keskeisenä teemana on teollisuusperinne ja teollinen historia kullakin paikkakunnalla. Kouluissa luokat tekevät tutustumiskäyntejä ja sen myötä tutkivat ja tekevät erilaisia esitelmiä ja muita tuotoksia kustakin kohteesta. Myös Hannele Tehnovuori kaupungin museosta on käynyt vierailemassa useasti koulussa.

Porvoon Keskuskoulussa aiheina ovat mm.

- laivan rakennus (Hamari)
- konepajateollisuus (mm. Fiskars)
- vanha olkihattutehdas

On spring 2005 Porvoo Keskuskoulu took a part in the international Comenius project. The coordinator of the three year project is Juha Koskinen from Porvoo.

The plan of the three years Comenius project is "Industrial Past, Heritage and Change. At school children study and visit in industrial resorts of own region. Next they make discourses and even lectures of the subjects. Mrs Hannele Tenhovuori from the Porvoo City museum has visited several times at our school.

At the Porvoo Keskuskoulu we have subjects like:

- past factory of straw hat
- printing house in Porvoo (WSOY)
- industry of ceramicas and pottery
- factory of furnitures
- brewing industry in Porvoo
